I thought I was the only one.

I like this photo. Brad handed this very image to me during a meeting early on as  we began to cast vision for the Bradford house. It’s  the inspiration for a wall in my kitchen. It is also inspiration for the way we are treating the hallway. I like this photo.

Holly Mathis likes this photo, too. This makes me like Holly Mathis. I stumbled upon her blog while I was looking at some lighting options. It turns out that her lovely site features images and ideas that will do nothing short of inspire you.  Please, please, please click your way to Holly Mathis Interiors.

The more I read the more I realize how much we have in common. Like our approach to staircases—remember the post about painting the laundry room stairway? Check out Holly’s stairs. Stencils and numbers get me every time

When I saw this posted picture of quilts on a sleeping porch I recognized it immediately because I tore that very picture from a Pottery Barn catalog and put it in a file on my desk.  More evidence that this woman is my long-lost friend. I nearly opened Facebook to search for her. Must be her friend—because we all know you’re not really friends until your Facebook friends.

Her blog is a treat. Add it to your Google Reader or bookmark her. You’ll appreciate the ideas and inspiration.

C.S. Lewis says, Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: “What! You too? I thought I was the only one.” According his standards, Holly and I are friends. Good friends.

Seriously, go enjoy her blog!
